1 Winter Trip
The trip to the east coast of Australia with a group of friends was a really enjoyable and memorable event of the year. There were 7 of us, though a lil bit of an ought number, but heck, 7's my favourite number by the way. It seemed like such a long time ago as we have ended our second sem now. But if i recalled correctly, we went to places including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Newcastle, Katoomba [Blue Mountain] and Byron Bay. [Hope i didn't miss out any]. So anyways, along the trip we managed to catch up with some of our friends like Ah Wong in Brisbane, Ada & Devi in Sydney. Too bad i didn't get to meet up with Jane though, timing not right i guess, what's more to say i didn't have her number with me. Other than that, the experience included free whale watching, quad biking, Sydney Harbour Bridge climbing etc. etc. Not only that, i was actually surprised that i could actually walk around with that big backpack but thankfully we did not need to walk long distances with it. What's more, i almost lost my wallet when i was in Blue Mountain because i carelessly dropped it somewhere in the pub. I guess all in all, it's something worth experiencing and very grateful to have a bunch of fun-filled friends.
2 Psychology Lab Reports
Before this, i have never written any psyc lab reports [obviously because i never had the chance to take psychology] but i think i sort of got the hang of it now. Still, i don't plan to continue taking psychology in further years because it has nothing to do with the field i'm pursuing. I consider it an achievement because my marks increased for every subsequent report. On another matter, i actually find that psychology is one of the more interesting subjects compared to other subjects. Why do i say so? It's because i seem to learn a lot about what's happening around us, how our body works, how our behaviour is govern by our mind, things like that. I mean at least now i have a broader knowledge on general stuff. Though the subject may be interesting, the exam is nothing next to simple. Most people would think that Multiple Choice Paper won't be any hard but that's totally a wrong impression. To be honest, the reason i took psychology as an elective was because the paper was multiple choice. But because it's like an introductory course to the world of psychology, basically we were learning everything under one roof. So it's like a crash course on everything.
3 Reading
This is yet another achievement. Major to me but may be nothing to the rest of you out there. I actually finished reading a book, a book which has nothing to do with academic. Not only that, i was reading it during the times when exams were approaching and also during exams. I was never the reading book type of person. I guess i didn't like reading because they have too many complicated words in it and always feel sleepy when i start reading. But surprisingly, this time it's different. The book i'm talking about is " Man & Wife" by Tony Parsons. The language is simple and the agenda is catchy. I really enjoyed reading it. Thanks Eugene, for recommending it to me. I haven't been reading for ages! I didn't even finish reading the Harry Potter book.
Well, i'm sure there's a lot of other things that i achieved this year in this foreign country but at the moment i can't think of anymore. The list shall be continued...
