low in cash...low in motivation

|
i've been low in cash for this week, somehow sort of spent more than my budget for the week during the weekend itself. Haih, how money just goes missing everytime u withdraw it. Come to think of it, i don't really have much cash to eat out or buy things that i want or saje want to buy because it's cute or nice. See, every week groceries and marketing sum up to almost 30 to 40 dollars, so if i budget only 50 dollars a week, then i only have 10 to 20 dollars remaining. Then i eat in uni for like 2 or 3 days [depending on how much money i got], at least like 12 dollars there i think. Imagine how poor i am, sometimes so sleepy and need a coffee, but not willing to spend so much, so in the end buy coffee from Donut King and get 2 free cinnamon donuts. Just enough to last me til the end of the day. Then we normally eat out on Friday, just nearby though, because so many people want to watch American Idol at 7.30pm. So sad to say, i believe that every week i spend more than what i budgeted for. Water bill haven't pay, 40 dollars, electric bill 70 dollars, phone bill [by credit so don't care]. But obviously it's all divided by two cause sharing with my housemate, Frances ma. Everytime compare bills with Eugene and Faiz somemore, their water bill 20 dollars, electric bill 50 dollars.
Potential reasons for differences in water bill:
^ Do not cook cuz they cook and eat dinner at our place
^ Therefore do not need to clean the dishes after dinner
^ Do not wash their own clothes = use washing machine for everything
^ Clean up cups laying all around the place probably twice a week [coffee cups everywhere]
^ Guys got short hair so don't need to waste water to rinse off the shampoo
p/s: Is that enough to account for the double amount in water bill?
Potential reasons for differences in electric bill:
^ Does tv not sonsume any electricity? [they have a tv and we don't but why their bill so low?]
^ Does electric piano consume electricity? [Frances plays piano everyday]
^ Does leaving the laptop and computer on consume electricity? [the gals do but the guys got no internet so don't need to use computer]
^ Does the fumehood run on electricity?
^ Water heater? Cuz we bath longer so should use up more also right?
When i say low motivation i was referring to studies. Still slacking off in studies, no motivation as usual, and always feel sleepy when it comes to studies. What's more i think i'll flung management cuz stupid tutor gave me low marks in my assignment that is worth 30%. I thought i did better than the marks she gave me. By the way, more geram that my assignment wasn't mark by my tutor. Stupid lady don't know how to read English! Keep on say my "sentence does not make sense". Stupid!! What's worst is that i put in so much effort into this assignment and this is what i deserved? Not like they said that i'm totally wrong, i guess i'm just not good enough huh!? So gave up hope on my management subject liaoz. Stupid ppl who ask me to take management! I hate management! I don't need to learn to be a manager, my dad didn't so why should i?

full...very full

|
Just came back from dinner and feeling very very full. Why? 1st we went to eat duck at pacific house then we went to eat gelati from freddo. It was an outing with 10 of us. Wanna know what's so funny about the outing? Well, first of all, maybe it's because there were 10 of us, more than enough to make noise at the restaurant. So we decided to order 2 WHOLE DUCK plus 4 other dishes. Then the waiter was like, "U mean two plates?" but we had to emphasize that we want the whole duck. Then, first not enough soup, then not enough rice, then the duck didn't come. So we asked then they told us that it was still roasting. So 1st came one duck, we were almost finished when we thought where's the other duck? Although honestly, i think one was just enough for me but the guys claimed that they still can eat. Then we had to asked again for the other whole duck, i think they were thinking that we might not be able to eat anymore. When the 2nd portion came, we almost couldn't eat finish cuz there's quite a lot. But because we didn't want to lose face, we "forced" ourselves to finish it. Ahh! So full, but so full already still got eat gelati worr!! Fat ar!! Durian gelati yummy!!

Hello

Hello everyone,
My name is Silly!! *waving hands* Have any idea why my owner named me Silly? Try looking at the photoz, I guess you would have figured it out. Yes, it's not my fault that i have a silly grin on my face, is it? By the way, I love shaking my head too [which makes me look even more silly aka bodoh bodoh]. Can't help it, that natural too...blame the people that manufactured me if you want to. I love my new home because i have a lot of "friends" here!! But too bad for them they are not as cute as me.

culture difference

  • If you have red hair back in Malaysia, everyone would be at awe. As how my brother likes to put it, "head-turning" hairstyle. He always claim that about his hair. And i remembered when my hair was super-red the time, all the people in the pasar malam was like looking at me. AHaha..don't know whether it's because they think it's cool or they think it's gross but still head-turning right?
  • Here if you have red hair, it considered normal. Red is such a common colour here. If u want to be unique or stand out in the crowd, probably you should have hair dyed in green or bright purple or pink, even yellow or blue! There are way more diversity in hairstyles and hairdos compared to back home, people here are more daring i guess?
  • In Malaysia, there's a lower tolerance to fat people. Most people who are just slightly overweight or chubby, would have been considered an ugly sight to look at. Here, i'm not talking about really really overweight until damn disgusting to look at but just those, slightly over. And people around would already look in disgust. Like as if it's a crime to be overweight. Which reminded me, the other day i was watching this show on TV, "Last Comic Standing", there was this guy named Alphie and he was like what Eu said, "a big blob or slob". Meaning he's so gross all his fat was like jelly-ish...wobbly...
  • Here, i think u have to be really obese to be considered overweight or something. People would still dress as freely as they like even though the blob of fat is like jutting out of their shirt or something. Beer belly for girls is just a common sight. As a friend's aunt once said when she was here on a visit, if we Malaysian were to even have the slightest tummy or something, we wouldn't even dare where shirt that would expose that away. Oh, by the way, i'm talking about women not men. Like as if man would give a damn how they look, unless he's a metrosexual guy or gay?
  • People in Australia is more confident with their looks and care less about what people think of them as compared to Malaysian. Just that two points that i made illustrated the validity of this statement. Here, even if you are fat, like me...i have a big tummy! You would only think that i'm thin because i'm small size, people will go around asking, "Why are you Asians so thin and slim? Is it the food you eat?". Such compliment huh?

vailidity of theory

|
The other day, my friend came up with this "brilliant" theory of his. Want to hear about it? He said that since the past few days was really hot i.e. it's never been so hot in April since it's approaching winter soon, it's going to be really cold during the winter. Reason? Because now we get "credit" by getting hot weather in autumn and we will have to pay back for the luxury now, hence the cold winter. Make any sense? It's like super cold now! And i thought yesterday was cold. I'm basically freezing here in my own unit. At least last time at that crappy place where we didn't have to pay for the electricity, i sure on heater already but now that we have to pay for our own bills and all, have to try and save as much as we can so we can spend that money on something else. =( Where's my man when i need him? Why? Cuz i want him to help me carry down that suitcase of mine to take out my thick jackets!

disfunctional chatterbox

|
This stupid chatterbox always unavailable one...how many times must i refresh and load the page just to see if anyone posted something for me? Hmm..maybe i should try changing it like david, but then i don't like that interface, i think this interface is nicer worr...But does it matter? I'm suppose to be doing something more productive for the remaining of my day. Ahahah...not like a lot of ppl want to msg me or anything. Sorry...for being perasan. =P

no difference: hols or no hols

Before that remember in the previous post i said something about a pancake and ice cream day? Well, that was a disappointment. I thought we were supposed to make our own pancakes and ice creams but apparently we were just suppose to eat not make. So while we gals were disappointed about that, the guys were more than happy to gobble down all those pancakes. So that was the story of our pancake and ice cream day. Last weekend was Frances' birthday. She turned 21 on 23rd April. It was sort of a slow and minimal celebration from the group of us, none of us even got her a birthday cake..although we did get her presents. I felt sorry for her after that so we, the closer lot of us, took her out to Brunetti for a cuppa coffee and bought her this cute cake that they have there. I hope she liked it though. I mean like imagine how bad we are as friends if she had to pay for her own hot chocolate in Koko Black on her birthday despite not getting a birthday cake from us. Ahaha...i really hope i made up for it! What's more she's not in a good luck streak nowadays...what more can a friend do but to make her feel better if we can't help right?
On another matter, i am disappointed at myself for not getting much work done during the ANZAC day holiday. I had a weekend of three days and i barely got anything done. I was like saying to a friend, that if we had less holidays, probably i would get more things done. The thought of having so many days of just demotivates me from doing work. Imagine we were so bored that we decided to get hooked on a video game! Much more times wasted doing nothing. Like waking up at 3 pm on monday then laze around and finally want to do work the time it's already 5 pm...then dinner...then yum cha! Ahaha...how we can just manage to waste all this extra time huh? Well well, so i thought i was suppose to catch up on my reading for test and stuff then guess what i did just afternoon? SLeep!! Ahaha..then when i tell myself..since i sleep already later should feel more awake to do work, then i'll be watching TV for sure! That's life! Hope i don't regret this in the future...test ar! Where got ppl go study so much total of 18 Lectures just to answer 15 MCQs worth 10%!?? DOesn't make sense to me, does it make sense to u? So i guess that's another factor that demotivates me from studying. Cis, procastination as usual...

gaming norm?

|
I wonder if this is true of all people, or is it just me? Perhaps some people will call people like me kiasu but it's just a feeling..burst or emotions when you can't achieve what you wanted to do. And here, i'm referring to playing games. You know how is it that if you are playing a particular game, and everything doesn't seem to be going well, you'll get frustrated and continue to get worst? Well, it happens to me too. Like yesterday, when i was playing ping pong and was kinda better than the previous time i played, i felt motivated to play again and i actually had fun. The joy when you managed to safe the ball...makes it all worthwhile. Then at other times when i was really bad [and obviously i blamed the bat cuz it was like totally torn apart]...i just didn't feel that i was up for more practice...sort of gave up hope on my ping pong "skills" [that is if i had any]. Then same goes to a game of pool. I didn't want to play cuz i've always sucked at pool...what do you call the pool with red and yellow balls huh? american pool? Ahaha..whatever that is. So as i was saying, eugene and royston wanted to play pool and i was just there as a spectator. Then after they finished their round, eugene ask me to play with royston, cuz he's also just starting to learn and naturally i'm not a good player myself. But to my surprise, maybe i should say luck, i won!! Ahaha!! Same thing again, you feel that you've achieved something that makes you want to continue playing. What felt better was when the shots were like cool!! Makes me ponder on my accuracy but obviously most of the time not accurate one. Ahh...satisfaction! So, feel good and motivated when you're good and frustrated and angry when you're bad?
Oh, later gonna go make pancakes and icecreams! I think so la but obviously i hope don't need to make and just get to eat for free ma. I wonder...will tell you guys later when i come back from that outing! Hmm...don't know can make durian ice cream a not leh? Ahaha..but ah mos don't like durian one...

parts of a puzzle

|
why must there always be secrecy of information. there's so much i want to say...i just wanted to express how angry i am...how upset i am...about certain thing that is happening around me. yet, i have no one i can talk to about except my closest friend(s). and now i can't even blog about it here because some people might get offended with what i say. so what's the point of having a blog if i can't express myself, not even here? tell me now!?

fraction of thoughts:
# how friends became strangers...
# how once upon a time became meaningless...
# how the past haunts the present...or even the future...
# how someone trustworthy and respectable became someone worst than a piece of shit...
# how we are so near, yet so far...
# how a happy person became sad in just a blink of an eye
# how puppies can grrRr...
# how i feel tired even with sufficient sleep...

whatever!!! still no meaning of typing much if i can't write what i want to say...signing off...

the jinx year ?

|
Did any of u noticed that something isn't really right about everything that's happening this year? Don't u think there's too many sad/bad news all around the world and needless to say, it's only the beginning of the year! We're not even halfway through this year. It makes me sick to know of all the things that's happening around me. Well, i guess the most tragic lost to most ppl around the world now is the death of POPE JOHN PAUL II. This guy named Sanjeep from the Victorian Police Force came to give us a talk about how are things like in the force and he pointed out that regardless of nationality or differences, a successful leader would be one that inspires all and they will be the mark of time, marking significant revolution. As he gave us an example, take Jesus for instance, before he came to lead mankind, it was called BC i.e. before Christ and after laying his impact towards mankind, years were called AC i.e after Christ. Well, though it may not relate much to his speech on the police force,i thought it to be a very thought provoking point. I mean like though the pope is like a leader to the Roman Catholics, he has touched many around the world with his inspirational speeches, he has reached an international recognition not only by Catholics but every other person on earth. Then, yesterday i heard of the death of a Monaco prince from news. Basically, news on tv have been really flooded with news of who's dead and who's dying and stuff like that. Like that woman who had a brain damage or something one? Then another woman is Aussie who was attacked or something and now in a vegetative state? Then about this aggresive family members of some guy who got killed when police raid their house? I guess the only supposed to be happy news is that PRINCE CHARLES is getting married! I'm sure no one in the world would be sharing his joy and happiness in a miserable start of the year. Get the hint la idiot! Where got people go get married on his own grandmother's death anniversary one? So desperate to marry until like that! Apart from that, following the incident of the TSUNAMI at the end of Dec, there has been many more earthquake and stuff like that in Indonesia. It's like affecting everyone there emotionally, worst still knowing they can't afford to run away from such disaster. I can just hope and pray all this natural disaster will not affect Msia that much. We learned in Geography that Malaysia was one of the luckiest country to be free of natural disasters such as earthquake, or volcanos and stuff like that. It hardly seem to be true nowadays. Not only that, there's a lot of things that are personal too. But i guess it's not right for me to bring it up since it's supposed to be very very very personal stuff. So sorry can't share with u all, but i am all hardened inside. Well, one that i can share with you guys is that my precious Kelisa had been trashed by my brother TWICE!! It's just so unbelievable how it happened, but hey it happened!! No, i don't blame him for trashing my car, i guess it's not his fault. How can u get bang is every other car is stationary including yours!! How stupid and blind can that HONDA MALAY BASTARDS be to bang into an innocent KELISA like mine!? To make matters worst, because the car is so small i guess it's light too, so STRONG that it pushed my poor Kelisa to hit the crowbar of an UNSER! Tough luck huh? But no worries, my car is wrecked but my bro's fine. So, i have to suppress my outburst of emotions regarding the other matters and keep it to myself. It's supposed to be a SECRET. *lynn seals lip tight* So, don't you agree that this is a jinx year? And those feng shui ppl! claiming that this would be a better year compared to the year of the tiger, my foot!

slow but progressing

|
Well well, i'm sure u know what i'm referring to rite? So, let me recap:
  • Sun: Read materials
  • Mon: Read materials
  • Tues: Write ouline [half the essay only]
  • Wed: Start writing [4 paragraphs]
  • Thurs: Continue writing [2 paragraphs]
I wonder why do i take so long to just finish this stupid essay? I guess i'm just not that organize, always can't seem to find where all the materials i have and in which book, then the info all so messy don't know how to make it look coherent and flow. So each time after i write each sentence, have to read again to see if it fits where it is...even writing one sentence takes longer than normal. Maybe lapuk in writing essays liaoz. Anywayz, just another paragraph and conclusion to go...then the reference list. That's it!! Motivated to finish up but not enough points for my last paragraph. Reading reading...wish me luck to finish it by today, hopefully early then i can go shopping!!

Simplicity

|
I've decided to change back the blog to the way it was...well at least i hope is. It's just that i'm not good with this blog template thing and no time to learn from marianne so things sort of go wrong somewhere and i don't know where and what to change. Keeping it simple and manageable would be the best thing for me. Look at the bright side, at least i can have colourful fonts!? Okayz, enough of distraction and back to my reading about motivation, management etc etc.

p/s: Sort of a good news is that the lab will be open on wednesday so i'll be able to finish up my prac report before the due date or the end of the holidays. Sad news is that no one i mailed reply my email except for the head demonstrator.

The wonders of money

|
Is money important? Well, those people who thinks that money is not important are deceiving themselves. To some extent, money is like an essential possession in life, especially in today's society. Yes, money can't buy love but money can buy a lot of things you need in life. Not only for leisure but almost everything one needs for survival. Probably you can argue that some people plant their own food and build their own house etc. But in reality, that only implies to 'native' people. How is one able to do as mentioned above in a modern society? Even if you want to plant your own food, you'll still need to pay for the seed or the soil or the land to do so right? Ahaha..what am i babling about? Well, i just wanted to say that nowadays, spending money is like spending water. Once you withdraw it from the ATM, next minute *poof* all gone. Then when you've spent all of it, you'll sit and wonder, "What did i spent it on? Where did the rest of the money went to?" As a student, moreover one that does not have a part-time job, it's crucial to keep track on your spending. Basically, it's almost impossible to be spending only AUD 50 per week [how did i do it last year?]. There's nothing to complain here, some people are just not as rich as others, sometimes it makes me jealous to see how people can spend so much going out, shopping, movies, tram, etc. As for me, trying to safe as much as i can to do the stuff i love, although i do love shopping but things are so expensive here. So more walking and less whining!!

Holiday or no holiday?

|
Happy easter and happy holiday to us in Oz!! Well well, today is the first day of the ten days holiday and what should i do? Should i laze around and waste my time? Like what one of my friend put as his msn setting "staring at the sky, marvelling and wasting time". But as how things have always been, holidays are never meant to be true holidays. It's always more like a time to finish up your assignments which are due right after the hols. Want to know what's worse? I was happily thinking that i would finish up my practical reports [which means 2 of it] today, but guess what! i totally forgot to drop by the lab yesterday to collect the results for that particular experiment!! Even more, my lab partner also did not have time to take it. So what am i going to do?? Let's all pray hard and hope i get a positive reply from the head demonstrator and hope that the lab will be open if not today, or sat, or sun, at least monday la!! =( if not i also don't know how! Well, i tried to email those ppl from my group too and hoping, just hoping that they will read their email and reply me asap. Not only that, i have to complete my management essay by this holiday too but i haven't even plan out how i am going to structure the essay. Too much info to write for only 2000 words. Planning planning, but haven't read all the books i borrowed to do my essay also. Ehehe...but it's just the 1/10 days and long way more to go [i hope]. So, besides all this boring usual assignment thing, study for test kind of thing, we're gonna have a bbq open house party somewhere in this holiday week. Marianne, you are invited!! Day and time yet to be decided. Now what? cleaning of our apartment unit...vacuum vacuum, wipe wipe, dust dust! Weee!!!What an 'exciting' holiday! And cold...*grrrrz*...cold....14 degrees at the moment. Happy easter again! What does easter got to do with easter bunnies and chocolate eggies? *ponderz*

One two or More?

|
I believe that most people have at least two personalities in life. Of course the most obvious is that this one person can be very nice to some and nasty to others. Is it really true that everyone has enemies eventhough one might not be aware of? I'm sure no one likes making enemies but perhaps one's attitude towards another caused someone else to hate you? But this does not necessarily imply that when u are rude or mean to someone, they'll hate you. If your parents were to always nag at you or scold you, would you hate them? I hope the answer is no. Once in a while, the person you love might upset you directly or indirectly but you won't hate them, right? So eventhough you are someone really important in their life, or at least you assume you are, it doesn't mean that they will always be super-sweet to you, will they? Another question, do people treat you nice because they want something in return? A favour, perhaps? Or they are nice to you in a sincere manner. How can you tell? But you can't carry on thinking that people are nice to another for specific reasons, can you? Some people just never step into your path unlesss they have something they want from you. Do you consider them hypocrites? I guess people in all walks of life are just too complicated to comprehend.

Procastination

|
So lazy to pack! Marianne, faster ask me to pack please? Want people to help fetch my stuff to College Square but what am i doing day after day? Whatever it is i'm doing, i have yet to finish packing. The only thing that i packed so far are my books. It's so so heavy! How am i suppose to carry it? Anyone? Help? Everyday become cook to my friends who still have papers, come to think of it, better ask them to pay me before they go off man! How to pack how to pack!? Everything is so messy, although looks like nothing much to pack...but all the small small things add up together will become a lot a lot of things right? What to buy, what to buy back? No money, buy things back means have to use my money right? I'm so small, how much can i carry!? Mum, mum wants me to buy a box of mangoes. Still wondering how am i suppose to bring it back. Yes, i love mangoes too but how!? Have to carry luggage bag, laptop bag, hand carry bag, mangoes how? *ponderz* Which clothes to bring back and which to leave here? How many things can i keep in that cool vacuum bag? Can fit a lot of things but after i vacuum the air out of it where am i going to put it!? Hehehe..all the thoughts but no actions. Online online everyday, download lots of songs..trying to use the internet to the max before we go back. Hehehe...ok ok...shall go try and pack something, but my things are everywhere!? Should start bringing all my things back to my room. *grinz*

Achievement of the Year.

|
1 Winter Trip
The trip to the east coast of Australia with a group of friends was a really enjoyable and memorable event of the year. There were 7 of us, though a lil bit of an ought number, but heck, 7's my favourite number by the way. It seemed like such a long time ago as we have ended our second sem now. But if i recalled correctly, we went to places including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Newcastle, Katoomba [Blue Mountain] and Byron Bay. [Hope i didn't miss out any]. So anyways, along the trip we managed to catch up with some of our friends like Ah Wong in Brisbane, Ada & Devi in Sydney. Too bad i didn't get to meet up with Jane though, timing not right i guess, what's more to say i didn't have her number with me. Other than that, the experience included free whale watching, quad biking, Sydney Harbour Bridge climbing etc. etc. Not only that, i was actually surprised that i could actually walk around with that big backpack but thankfully we did not need to walk long distances with it. What's more, i almost lost my wallet when i was in Blue Mountain because i carelessly dropped it somewhere in the pub. I guess all in all, it's something worth experiencing and very grateful to have a bunch of fun-filled friends.

2 Psychology Lab Reports
Before this, i have never written any psyc lab reports [obviously because i never had the chance to take psychology] but i think i sort of got the hang of it now. Still, i don't plan to continue taking psychology in further years because it has nothing to do with the field i'm pursuing. I consider it an achievement because my marks increased for every subsequent report. On another matter, i actually find that psychology is one of the more interesting subjects compared to other subjects. Why do i say so? It's because i seem to learn a lot about what's happening around us, how our body works, how our behaviour is govern by our mind, things like that. I mean at least now i have a broader knowledge on general stuff. Though the subject may be interesting, the exam is nothing next to simple. Most people would think that Multiple Choice Paper won't be any hard but that's totally a wrong impression. To be honest, the reason i took psychology as an elective was because the paper was multiple choice. But because it's like an introductory course to the world of psychology, basically we were learning everything under one roof. So it's like a crash course on everything.

3 Reading
This is yet another achievement. Major to me but may be nothing to the rest of you out there. I actually finished reading a book, a book which has nothing to do with academic. Not only that, i was reading it during the times when exams were approaching and also during exams. I was never the reading book type of person. I guess i didn't like reading because they have too many complicated words in it and always feel sleepy when i start reading. But surprisingly, this time it's different. The book i'm talking about is " Man & Wife" by Tony Parsons. The language is simple and the agenda is catchy. I really enjoyed reading it. Thanks Eugene, for recommending it to me. I haven't been reading for ages! I didn't even finish reading the Harry Potter book.

Well, i'm sure there's a lot of other things that i achieved this year in this foreign country but at the moment i can't think of anymore. The list shall be continued...

Blog templates for dummies

|
I was browsing for nice templates, i came across a few that i really liked but the problem now is that i have the slightest idea how to change the template to have all the functions as the one i am currently using. Wow, i guess i really have a lot to learn before i will be able to get the hang of it. As for now, i give up trying to make or edit a template. Just too time consuming and can hardly get everything i need in it. The only thing that i am good at is to add the chatterbox into the template. Great achievement!? Nah, i don't think so. I'd rather spend time thinking of what to write rather than thinking of how to make it nice. Agree? Oh, by the way, do u think they really have "blogging for dummies"?

Not only do i not know how to edit templates, i don't think i'm even good at writing. So why bother to have a blog? Just to follow the trend? Hmm...more like just to past time when i'm bored or something. Probably should go blog hopping more often to see what ppl normally write in their blog. Should i write about my personal life, or should i just write about general issue? But even if i want to write, obviously i have to think of the title and topic of the post right? Any interesting ideas?

Probably should write about what Cindy was talking about...how do you define 'the one'? But before that, have to think about it 1st. Or probably I should write about what's my definition of love. Shall decide later. Now, time to cook!

Till then, signing out~

the title says it all. exam is just around the corner and what am i doing here online. well well, as usual, distractions. i can't seem to spend a long time studying each day and exams is getting closer, two more weeks to go. i tried studying in the library yesterday, but somehow i got distracted by the noise because Eugene said that i was in the discussion area. so once i lost my concentration and got stucked on one question, my brain couldn't function anymore. so sort of like wasted a lil time there while waiting for Eugene to return from his discussion. then, headed to Starbucks on Lygon for a cuppa coffee. surprisingly, almost everyone there was with some sort of notes and all, there were actually so many people studying in Starbucks! i wondered how they make business though, i mean with so many people who are basically there to revise and taking up all the tables, no net flow of customers for this outlet then. at least i managed to get some work done after wasting some time in the library. does this mean that i work better under noisy condition? but then why couldn't i study in the noisy library then? *ponderz again* now i'm at home and see what am i doing? trying to find distraction and not study again. online online online although got nothing much to do. thought got people to chat to but everyone seems to be 'away'. *sighz* sienz...miss my dear already...come back faster ya!?

The Last of Prac

|
weather:
fair and sunny. would have been a nice day if not because i had to wear long pants for prac. it's not that we are not allowed to wear skirt to prac, it's just that i think wearing sneakers and skirt *blinkz* is a weird combo.

positive events:
i had my last prac today. so this means that i will not have anymore prac until next year *yeah yeah*. mixed emotions. happy that i don't have to wear that stupid goggles that clings to your head so hard, it hurts [and no, it's not because i have a big head]. sad because i won't be able to see my nice nice demonstrator Kylee anymore. she has been such a big help during chem pracs and she always say words of encouragement to all of us. she also mentioned that we are like the best group ever because we always finish off earlier than the rest *peace*. unlike Frances's demonstrator who is of no help at all, he doesn't even hint them the answers. poor thing huh? at least even last sem i had a good demonstrator. although Andrew was a lil slow and playful, he still manages to finish on time and helps us when we are blur or stuck in prac. and it was funny how many accidents and things were broken in today's prac. i think at least 4 broken watch glass and 2 broken conicle flask!
results for the physical chem test came out today. happy that i scored full marks for it. although many people actually scored full marks too, what concerns me most is that now i would be able to make up for the lost marks during the organic chem test. no doubt the paper was easy, but at least i know that i didn't do any careless mistakes this time. because for those who knows me, i am very very prone to making the mistakes especially when the question is easy. even my parents have to tell me to take deep breath, don't panic, etc. before my exams *sigh* probably i'm suffering from anxiety disorder?

negative event:
for the previous two lectures of psychology, we had a new lecturer. i think he's one of the worst lecturers i encountered so far. imagine, he speaks even softer than the previous lecturer who's a woman! surprisingly, everyone actually keeps quiet in his class. is it because they are interested or just because they can't hear anything? *ponderz* i do admit that i find this particular topic that he's talking about interesting, but how am i suppose to learn anything if i can't hear what he says? it's like today, i heard him saying that Huntington disease is not genetically inherited! how can this be, i was thinking to myself. i wonder what other information i've misintepret. so i guess being able to hear just half of the time is of no help, better still don't go. thankfully he was only going to lecture for two time. not only is his voice so so soft, his overheads also super small and full of words. his notes is like 20 pages long! i mean, any sane person would know that there is no way anyone can cover that much in just 50 mins. what was he thinking man! in the end, i don't think he only covered 1/3 of the lecture materials. now, we have to go read it up on our own.

other highlights:
went to the Department of Pharmacology with Roy and guess what he was doing? he was like touching the lift, saying how cool it was, how it has two panels of button and the logic behind its existence. blur? well, we actually noticed that there was a panel towards the back of the lift and Roy's logic is that when the lift is packed, people behind can still press on the floor they want to get out on. clever huh!? then went to the Brownless Biomedical Library for the first time! i think i should probably familiarize myself with library systems and all since it might come in handy for years to come. Roy could actually go in there and came out with the book he wanted in just an instant! i was amazed and he explained that it was because he borrowed it before. cool huh?

conclusion:
time to get down the serious business now. exams in 18 days. have to speed up momentum of revision but probably not today.
